USA GOLD CUP – QUALIFIERS

What is the Gold Cup Qualifiers 

The Gold Cup USA Qualifiers will consist of tournaments held in the USA where teams will qualify for the Gold Cup to be held March 20th – 22nd in Barcelona, Spain

Six qualifying tournaments for Men’s and Women’s will be held in the USA. Gold Cup Qualifiers will be held between January and October 2025. 

The highest finishing team in each USA Gold Cup Qualifier will earn a berth to the Gold Cup. Qualifying berth is assigned to the Manager of Record from 2025 team.

Who is eligible to participate 

Registered USSSA B and below teams are eligible to enter Gold Cup USA Qualifiers. Each qualifier will offer 1 Men’s and 1 Women’s division unless otherwise denoted on the event.  

Roster Guidelines 

Rosters used in qualifying events in 2025 must meet B Division or below guidelines. 

If a team that earns a berth in 2025, is moved up in class for the 2026 season, all players that were on the roster in 2025 remain eligible. 

If a qualified player has an A PRV in 2025 that is being removed from the 2026 roster, the manager can add another A PRV in 2026. If a player was a B Elite or lower in 2025, the manager is only allowed to add a B Elite or lower PRV rated player in 2026. 

 USA Gold Cup Qualified Teams 

Teams that win qualifiers and accept the USA Gold Cup berth, will have 45 days from the completion of the event to pay the Gold Cup entry fee. 

If the winning team hands down the berth, teams next by placing in the qualifier will have 30 days from the notice of the berth to pay the Gold Cup entry fee.  

Starting September 1, non-accepted berths will no longer be passed down.  

Teams that qualify for the Gold Cup must participate in at least 3 USSSA tournaments from the event they qualified for and prior to the Gold Cup. If no team from a specific qualifier attends the Gold Cup, travel funds generated from that qualifier will be split evenly between teams that do attend the Gold Cup.
